Welfare overview

The American Greyhound Council (AGC) was established in 1987 to develop, fund and oversee programs to ensure the welfare of racing greyhounds on the farm, at the track and upon retirement. It is a joint effort of the National Greyhound Association (NGA), representing breeders and kennel operators; and the American Greyhound Track Operators Association (AGTOA), representing tracks.

Loads of useful information can be found on their website including Racing in the United States, Greyhound Welfare, Adoption, Animal Rights and the wonderfully produced video that show greyhounds throughout many stages of their lives.
