CET Kennels’ CET Dirty Dilly captured the 2023 $65,000 WVGOBA Open Sprint Stakes Saturday evening at Tri State.

The four-year-old female was the lone undefeated greyhound entering the Final Round after accumulating 48 points. CET Dirty Dilly, out of SH Avatar - CET Dirty Nicki, is owned by Carl E. Tomblin, II and trained by Scott Robinette.

From the 2 box, CET Dirty Dilly accelerated & led the charge around the oval only to have the 8 CG’s Roadrunner nipping at her heels at the finish. Known for her style of racing, Dilly did not disappoint her old or new fans as she remains known as the “Queen Machine.”

CG’s Roadrunner contended with the 5 CET Negan from the starting box and into the backstretch. Heading into the final turn, CG’s Roadrunner pulled ahead leaving room for the 7 GF Steel Horse to advance. In the homestretch, the 5 Negan slowed giving the 7 GF Steel Horse the room to advance.

Crossing the finish line, the 8 CG’s Roadrunner took runner up while the 7 GF Steel Horse took third.
