Topping the entries is the 2021-2022 captain of the All-American Team, CET Dirty Dilly. In addition, she won the $100,000 Mardi Gras Challenge and the 2021 WVGOBA Open Sprint along with receiving the Rural Rube Award.

Another contender is GF Straight One, who captured the title of the 2023 $35,000 WVGOBA Juvenile Sprint.

The greyhounds return for the second round on Saturday, May 13. The quarter-finals will be Thursday, May 18, followed by the semi-finals on Tuesday, May 23.

The Open Sprint Stakes championship is scheduled for Saturday, May 27.
