Wheeling Hot Dogs ( as April 11, all races 5/16 unless otherwise noted )

Lester Raines Kennel’s RS Big D has won 14 out of his last 15 Grade TAA 3/8 races for trainer Joel Roden. Kennel-mates SNL Ramey has captured three out of her last four Grade TAA 3/16 starts while DD Making Time has four straight victories (D, C, B, A).

Blanchard Kennel’s Frappe has won seven out of her last eight Grade AA trips for trainer Sarah Blanchard. Kennel-mate JS Rob Stone has captured five out of his last six Grade AA outings and Arkans Adonia has won three out of her last four races (M, C 3/8, B 3/8).

Charter Kennel’s Seven Summers has three 3/8 wins in a row (TC, B, TAA) for trainer James Campbell.

Xtrem Hess Racing Kennel’s RHT Marylynn has back-to-back victories (B, A) for trainer Jill Spicer.

I was introduced to greyhound racing by a friend in the late 1970s at Wheeling Downs and fell in love with the sport and the athletes immediately. Throughout the years, I have developed a deep passion for racing. In the mid 1990s, I started writing a weekly greyhound column and shortly thereafter became a writer for The Greyhound Review.
