Back to News » Wheeling and Tri State Set To Reopen!
Tuesday, May 19, 2020

We are happy to report that today the West Virginia Racing Commission approved Delaware North's request to reopen Wheeling Island and Tri State for racing beginning June 5.

Since the majority of the greyhounds have been worked and schooled during the shutdown, there will be no requirement to official school and the race day schooling requirements have been waived.

This effort was made possible by the cooperative work of the West Virginia Kennel Owners Association represented by Steve Sarras, track Management and the West Virginia Racing Commission and staff.

Great news! Let's get racing!
