Friday, March 25, 2016

Red Utopian continues her year-long reign as a Florida female phenom and turned in another stellar performance March 22 adding another eight straight to her power-packed portfolio. The stunning red daughter of KC And All and Sweetest Revenge that turned three years old last month continues to impress with her stamina. She recorded her 24th win in 30 starts this meet. Red Utopian has won from every post for owner Ann Occhino. Her victory was from post one that makes her current meet record 30/24-2-0-2 and her career wins over 60.

At 66-pounds Red Utopian's commanding performances over the Naples Fort Myers 550-yard oval have made her a local and global favorite. She also boasts two of the top three fastest times over the sprint oval this year, too. Red Utopian will be returning to Flagler in June where she dominated that oval in 2015 for the top paying FL points last year.

The Oxbow Trow kennel star is on track for another win championship. She is currently eight wins in front of her nearest rival Flying Birchwood (Everett) in second place with 16 wins from 34 starts. WW's Nirvana (Steve Sarras) is third with 15 wins from 39 starts. Tied with 14 wins each is Mike Huckabee (Brindle) and DS Butterscotch (Xtrem).

Everett Racing tops the kennel standings with 253 wins from 1,553 starts. Blanchard is in second place with 203 wins from 1,643. Xtrem is third with 189 wins from 1,439. Oxbow Trow holds on to fourth place with 177 wins from 1,259 starts. Completing the top five is Steve Sarras in his inaugural year at Naples with 173 victories from 1,337 starts.

The Naples Fort Myers meet is in the back-half of the season that ends on Memorial Day Monday May 30. The track's website was recently updated with easier access to entries, results and stats that are crystal clear when viewing on line or printing. Visit www.naplesfortmyersdogs.com
