Brad Boeckenstedt Kennel’s Boc’s Betty Jo has four wins, a second and a third in her last six Grade AA races for trainer Chris Brill. Kennel-mate Boc’s Circleking has back-to-back Grade AA victories.

Lester Raines Kennel’s Barts Outofmyway has three wins and two seconds in his last five Grade AA starts for trainer Joel Roden. Kennel-mates Night Ramcharger has three victories and a second in his last four outings (B, A, AA) while Kiowa Half Moon has won three out of his last four 3/16 trips (B, TA, TAA).

Jacobs Racing Kennel’s GLS Lover Boy (TAA 3/8) and Story Of My Life (B, A) have back-to-back wins for trainer Louise Strong.

Steubenville Kennel’s Superior Chance has three straight victories (A, AA) for trainer Michael Piquette.

A Ray Kennel’s At It Again has two Grade AA wins in a row for trainer Joe Palmer. Kennel-mate AMF Sleek Singer has won three out of her last four races (C, B, A).

Abrahamson Kennel’s Braska Dude has back-to-back victories (B, A) for trainer Tom Engle.

For greyhounds competing in the West Virginia-bred sprint stakes: Steve Sarras Kennel’s Leo The Lover has four straight wins (AA, SAA) for trainer Barbara Long.

Patriot/Taplin Kennel’s GF Street Song has back-to-back victories (SAA) for trainer Joe Otto.

I was introduced to greyhound racing by a friend in the late 1970s at Wheeling Downs and fell in love with the sport and the athletes immediately. Throughout the years, I have developed a deep passion for racing. In the mid 1990s, I started writing a weekly greyhound column and shortly thereafter became a writer for The Greyhound Review.

I have enjoyed watching and writing about these wonderful competitors, including All-Americans DD's Nelson, Kiowa Sweet Trey, Gene's Champion, WW Apple Jax, Greys Royalcrown, Nimby TP Jan, Hi Noon Hero, Gable Sour Cream, KB's Ruckus and Cry Case.
