West Palm Beach, Fl. - It was a cloudy and showery afternoon, with the threat of heavy rains looming, but that did not deter more than 100 dedicated people from participating in Palm Beach Kennel Club’s first annual “Track Walk For Autism” on Saturday afternoon, April 28.

“Once again our customers and employees came through for a local charity, the Autism Project of Palm Beach County (APPBC),” said Palm Beach Kennel Club President Pat Rooney, Jr. “We thank everyone sincerely for participating and helping us help those with Autism.”

From the collection of monies from the sale of “On Track To Beat Autism” T-shirts and bracelets, a total of $16,328 was raised for the APPBC.

“With the weather and this being our first event, we were very impressed with the turnout.” said Palm Beach Kennel Club Director of Publicity Theresa Hume. “Next year we are looking for an even larger event and the year after that, even bigger”.
