Tucson Greyhound Park held the finals of the Puppy Stakes late last month. The 1st round started out with 32 dogs. Then after the 2nd round 24 greyhounds remained. The 3rd round then gave us the 8 finalists.

The race itself proved to be real exciting. Redrock Mirror went to the front and was closely tracked by Kiowa Coin Pride all the way. In deep stretch Kiowa Coin Pride went by and held off the late closing Boc’s Craze E by a length. The time of the race was 30.88.

Kiowa Coin Pride is owned by Smith Greyhound Inc. and James E. O’Donnell and trained by William Eyler. Over 250 fans cheered the winner in the winners circle. She was presented a blanket by Brian Duncan, Director of Racing and Aaron Larriva, Racing Secretary.
