Information
If you would like to school your greyhound before the upcoming meet, you must sign up in advance.
All of the information is listed below and you can print out a PDF form HERE.
 
 
The procedure of obtaining positions for pre-stake schooling at the NGA Meet requires that the NGA receive, by 3 p.m. (2 p.m. Friday) the day proceeding each day of schooling (either by mail or fax with the form below or by phone) the following information:

1) Total number of pups being schooled and veterinary certfication of required vaccinations for each schooler.
2) the number of boxes (races) needed
3) which day you'll be schooling
4) 5/16, 3/16 or hand school
5) $5 non-refundable fee per box (which will be added to purses, minus schooling expenses)

At 3 p.m. on the day preceding schooling ( 2 p.m. Friday for Sunday & Monday's schooling), a drawing will be held of all nominators who have applied to school for that particular day. Based on the order drawn, staggered numbers (representing the number of boxes requested) will be assigned. (Example: If you were drawn first and you had three boxes, you'd be assigned races 1, 5 and 9). Your schooling numbers will be made available at the office after each draw or the following morning (the day of schooling). NOMINATORS SHOULD PICK THESE NUMBERS UP AT THE OFFICE BEFORE SCHOOLING.

It'll be the nominator's responsibility to have his pups ready to load at the box on time. (Normally 40 races are run per hour, but allow for more time due to possible scratches. Please be on time). Any box of pups that doesn't show in time will have to be re-assigned a new number, which will be available at the judge's stand. Schooling starts at 8:30 a.m. on all schooling days, except Thurs. (7:30 a.m.).

In the event of cancellation of schooling due to inclement weather all requests for that day will be moved to the next day. Other requests for that day will be added in afterward from the 3 p.m. draw. If Friday's is cancelled, all requests for Friday will be moved to Saturday, unless otherwise notified prior to the 3 p.m. draw.

Please be sure to submit the $5-per-box fee when applying. All fees, minus schooling expenses, will be added to purses.
