PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB PRESENTS THE $20,000 GALLAGHER / KINNAIRD PUPPY STAKES CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY AFTERNOON, SEPTEMBER 7!

COME ON OUT AND JOIN IN ALL THE FUN AND FESTIVITIES!

West Palm Beach, Fl. - Palm Beach Kennel Club kicks off its 2019/20 stake racing season Saturday afternoon, September 7, with the twenty-second running of the $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes.

Eight of the track’s fastest rising young superstars will take to the oval in Saturday afternoon’s twelfth race, all going for the honor of being recognized as the summer racing season’s top pup.

This year’s final field features the best of our young super-early speedsters and the finest of the late-kick athletes.

This is such an evenly matched final, it’s hard to determine who the post time favorite will be.

Going by post positions, it appears that three Greyhounds drew into advantageous posts. Rafe Up Theriver will certainly have the room to rush the first turn if he can avoid early contact with Dirty Tricks.

Donta Ripper is in a good spot also is she can maneuver around the strong rushing ability of Midget Wrestling.

The leading point earner in qualifying, Imark Tequila, drew the advantageous eight post, and if he can outrush the strong first-turn rushers to his immediate left, B’s Breva, Flight Tracker and Grean Street, will have a shot at championship gold.

The eight youngsters going for the gold Saturday afternoon:

1. Dirty Tricks (Flying Coal City – Kebo Cutler, Rader Racing)

2. Rafe Up Theriver (CTW Pipe Down – Lonely Heart, D. Q. Williams)

3. Midget Wrestling (Flying Coal City – Juke Box Hero, Rader Racing)

4. Donta Ripper (CTW Pipe Down – Good Luck Ruby, D. Q. Williams)

5. Grean Street (Flying Coal City – Kebo Cutler, Rader Racing)

6. Flight Tracker (Lonesome Cry – Fraulein Morgan, Janie Carroll)

7. B’s Breva (SH Avatar – Oaks Mocha, Janie Carroll)

8. Imark Tequila (Barcelona Boss – Magic Droid, B & B Racing)

Gates open Saturday afternoon at 11:30 a.m., post time for the first race is 1:00 p.m. and approximate post for the $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes is 4:00 p.m.

This championship race is named in memory of two Palm Beach County legendary sportscasters, and great friends of the Palm Beach Kennel Club, Jim Gallagher and Buck Kinnaird.

Overall, this is the twenty-second running of our summer Puppy Stakes.

Other scheduled activities on this fun-filled family-oriented afternoon include:

* Track Walk for Greyhound Adoption at Noon! For a donation of only $25, receive your Greyhound Adoption T-Shirt, bag lunch and drink with all donations going to local Greyhound Adoption Agencies!

* 15 Superfecta Races!

* $10,000 Guaranteed Pick 4!

* Join John Martin with ESPN West Palm and enter to win a chance to be in the CASH CUBE where you could win your share of $500! (In front of Poker Room, First Floor, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.)

* For the Kids, Balloon Artist Karl Koppertop and Ace the Poker Bear will be here!

* Greyhound Pet Representatives will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about adopting one of these loving animals!

* The 12th Race of the afternoon will be the twenty-second running of the $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes, featuring the fastest and finest of our summer season’s young racing stars!
